She is a professional editor, a 2018 graduate of the Rollins English department, and she is currently studying to receive her Masters from Rollins in the MLS program. Kyra has a passion for music and dance, and holds a position as a Barre fitness instructor at the Alfond Sports Center!

Allie Pinkerton (she/her)
Allie Pinkerton is a Graduate Writing Tutor who specializes in assisting students with scholarly writing at all stages of the process: brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling at Rollins.

Cayla Thomas (she/her)
Cayla was born and raised in Florida. She went to UCF for her undergraduate in Psychology. She is currently an RBT and she is a student in the Applied Behavior Analysis and Clinical Sciences Master of Arts program. Her hobbies are photography, writing, and camping/hiking with her husband and three children.

Sofia Blasser (she/her)
Sofia is an Art History major with a double minor in Sociology and Political Science. She is from Panama and is fluent in English and Spanish. She is the co-president of CFAM Student Council, which collaborates with our on-campus museum. She also has experience with MLA and footnotes.

Cora Burkley (she/her)
Cora is from Annapolis, Maryland, and she is a Psychology major and Neuroscience Minor.  She has lots of experience with APA style writing for psychology and various genres of writing, particularly analytical. She also enjoys reading. Her favorite hobby is dancing, especially ballet and contemporary.

Kendall Clarke (she/her)
Kendall is a senior English major with minors in Creative Writing and Philosophy. She is also the Vice President of the Rollins D&D Guild. She aspires to be an author and English professor post-graduation, and is currently working on a short story collection related to the Tarot deck.

Angel Colon (he/him) 
Angel is a Social Entrepreneurship major and International Business minor. He is a born-and-raised Floridian and both of his parents are from Puerto Rico. Angel has advanced experience in writing, business, and teaching.

Lily Denneen (she/her)
Lily is from Hingham, Massechusettes and is majoring in Social Entrepreneurship and minoring in Spanish. She is the President of the Social Entrepreneurship Student Advisory Board, an Admissions Diplomat, and a Social Media Ambassador.

Kelsey Eelman (they/them) 
Kelsey is a Philosophy major. She is a member of the Rollins College Debate Team and an officer of Philosophy and Religion Club. Kelsey speaks English, Spanish and some Chinese. She loves crafting and watching horror movies with her dog and can quote way too much of The Office.

Ghina Fawaz is a Psychology and Theatre double major in the Honors program. She has experience working with students on essays and applications for competitive scholarships such as Fulbright, PPIA, and more. Additionally, Ghina is a playwright whose plays have premiered all around Florida, including the Orlando Fringe. She is from Lebanon and speaks English, Arabic, and American Sign Language.

Ana Fujiwara (she/her)
Ana is a Communication major and currently deciding between minoring in Writing or International Business. She is from São Paulo, Brazil, is proficient in three languages, and loves tennis and soccer.

Alana Goodwin (she/her) 
Alana is a double major in psychology and health communication. She is from Los Alamos, New Mexico, and is on the women’s swim team here at Rollins. Her favorite thing to do outside of school and swimming is go on hikes with her dog and spend time with her friends!

Shemiah is a third-year student from Trinidad & Tobago. She is currently pursuing a double major in the areas of Economics and International Business. She offers tutoring services in most of the business-related courses, but she specializes in Economics, International business courses, and writing consulting. She is fluent in English but is also literate in French and competent in intermediate-level Japanese. Her hobbies include dance, music, and socializing, and she is also a Resident Assistant in Elizabeth Hall this year.

Mickayla is a senior majoring in History with minors in Philosophy and Creative Writing. She is from Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. She enjoys writing poetry and fiction pieces, art, and doing historical research.

Elena is from St. Louis, Missouri. She is double majoring in Marine Biology and Environmental Studies and she is a member of Delta Zeta at Rollins. She likes watching sports or doing anything outdoors. She also loves sharks and wants to eventually do work in shark conservation!

Annie is a senior Psychology and English major. She is also the Public Relations chair for the Pinehurst Organization. Annie is proficient in MLA and APA style writing. She is from Parkland, Florida and is fluent in Spanish and English.

Emily O'Malley (they/them)
Emily is an English major and a writing minor, with extensive experience using MLA, APA, and AP styles. They speak English and French, and they often work with ESL/international students because of these students' unique needs as English-learners. You may also see their name on campus as the Editor in Chief of The Independent.

Shae Patrick (she/her)
Shae is a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Ethics. She is a student member of the Institutional Review Board and is interested in statistics and research methods (for psychology),  intro to formal logic (especially natural deduction), and ethics. She enjoys relaxing in her free time by watching tv shows and movies.

Riley Steege (she/her)
Riley is a Theatre Arts and Elementary Education major from London, England. She is very active in the theatre department on campus and is part of Rollins Players. She has worked in grade 1 and kindergarten classrooms as well as helped to direct young actors. Also, she loves to cook, bake, hang out with her friends and go to Disney!

Other than playing volleyball, she loves to travel and spend time with friends and family. Something interesting about her is that she has lived all over the world and considers herself somewhat of a third-culture kid, spending most of her life growing up in Singapore.

Jessika is a senior Biology major and Global Health minor! She is from Castle Rock, Colorado and she is libero on the Rollins Volleyball team. She loves staying active (hiking, skiing, fishing, etc.), and spending time with friends and family. This is her third year tutoring at Rollins. In addition to tutoring general biology courses, she loves to help students learn to write and edit lab reports. She knows scientific writing can be very difficult, but it is one thing that she especially enjoys helping students with.

Tyler Nagy
(he/him)
Tyler is from Sebastian, Florida, which is about an hour and a half away from Rollins on the east coast. He is double majoring in mathematics and public policy, with minors in economics and data science. Tyler’s areas of expertise are mathematics, professional development, and public policy. He is also conversational in Spanish. He is a member of the men's soccer team & SAAC representative, and he enjoys golfing and cooking.

Rahmat Rashid (she/they)
Rahmat is a math and philosophy double major who thinks of herself as a major nerd for both (especially their intersection, though she likes to argue that they're actually subsets of each other!). Rahmat hails from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. She enjoys teaching all math, but especially introductory level courses that require more abstraction.

Samantha (Sam) Alenius (she/her)
Sam is from Winter Springs, FL. Her areas of expertise are in any music-related courses, ranging from keyboard harmony to music theory. She is a Music major with a focus in piano performance, and she absolutely loves it! She took three semesters of German and is hoping to be able to speak more in the future. She loves to cook, exercise, and participate in any kind of water activity (kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, etc.). She has some prior experience tutoring with the TWC because she was working as a Music Mentor last year! She is very excited to be tutoring for both Dr. Cook's Keyboard Harmony courses and Dr. Mohr's "Women in Music" class!

Jay Forsythe (he/him)
Jay is a piano performance major with an interest in composition, conducting, and early music. He has been a tutor with the TWC since Fall 2020, where he focuses on music theory and keyboard harmony classes. In the summer of 2021 Jay was an intern at Colonial Williamsburg, and he had to improvise realizations or figured bass lines at the harpsichord— so feel free to bring him any of your part-writing or figured bass homework! In addition to his focus in classical piano, Jay also plays cello in the Rollins Orchestra and keyboard in the Rollins Jazz Ensemble.

Kelsey Eelman (they/them) 
Kelsey is a philosophy major. She is a member of the Rollins College Debate Team and an officer of Philosophy and Religion Club. Kelsey speaks English, Spanish and some Chinese. She loves crafting and watching horror movies with her dog and can quote way too much of The Office.

Shae Patrick (she/her)
Shae is a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Ethics. She is a student member of the Institutional Review Board and is interested in statistics and research methods (for psychology),  intro to formal logic (especially natural deduction), and ethics. She enjoys relaxing in her free time by watching tv shows and movies.

Sanjula Rajat (she/they)
Sanjula is a double major in Sociology and Philosophy with a minor in Sexuality, Women's and Gender Studies. Her particular areas of expertise are feminist thought, critical theory, ethics, Marxism, decolonial/postcolonial thought, and the various ways these intersect. She is from Kolkata, India and can speak English, Hindi, Bengali and Tamil.

Rahmat Rashid (she/they)
Rahmat is a math and philosophy double major who thinks of herself as a major nerd for both (especially their intersection, though she likes to argue that they're actually subsets of each other!). Rahmat hails from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. She enjoys teaching all math, but especially introductory level courses that require more abstraction.

Connor Kaplan (he/him)
Connor is a senior in the physics major and an active member of the Society of Physics Students here at Rollins. Connor has a good amount of experience in computational physics, but is well-versed in all the topics taught throughout the major. He is originally from Merritt Island, a small town about an hour away from Rollins on the east coast of Florida, and he enjoys videogames, card games, and magic tricks.

Sophia Maehl (she/her)
Sophia has experience in political science, history (with a focus on Asian studies) and communications. She is originally from Boston, MA. Her major is Public Policy and Political Economy and she is minoring in Communications. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her friends, and baking. Her other positions on campus include working as an admissions diplomat and serving on the honor council.

Tyler Nagy (he/him)

Tyler is from Sebastian, Florida, which is about an hour and a half away from Rollins on the east coast. He is double majoring in mathematics and public policy, with minors in economics and data science. Tyler’s areas of expertise are mathematics, professional development, and public policy. He is also conversational in Spanish. He is a member of the men's soccer team & SAAC representative, and he enjoys golfing and cooking.

Sofia Pinheiro (she/her)
Sofia is a senior double majoring in International Relations and Political Science. She is also the President of the Brazilian Student Association at Rollins. In her free time she likes to explore cafés in Winter Park and to read about personal finance.

Ghina Fawaz (she/her)
Ghina Fawaz is a Psychology and Theatre double major in the Honors program. She has experience working with students on essays and applications for competitive scholarships such as Fulbright, PPIA, and more. Additionally, Ghina is a playwright whose plays have premiered all around Florida, including the Orlando Fringe. She is from Lebanon and speaks English, Arabic, and American Sign Language.

Alana Goodwin (she/her) 
Alana is a double major in psychology and health communication. She is from Los Alamos, New Mexico, and is on the women’s swim team here at Rollins. Her favorite thing to do outside of school and swimming is go on hikes with her dog and spend time with her friends!

This is her third year working in the Tutoring and Writing center, and she looks forward to seeing both new and old students and helping them through their toughest classes. She mainly tutors in Psychology and Statistics and Research Methods, but you can also come to her for help with Career Documents and Music Theory. Around campus, you may know her as Co-President of the Psychology Honors Society, Vice President of The Dungeons and Dragons Guild, Treasurer of Board Game Club, or Soprano Vocalist in Rollins Choir and Women's Vocal Jazz Ensemble. She is also a student worker for the Music Department and a volunteer member of the Rollins Institutional Review Board. 

Annie Murray-Campbell (she/they)
Annie is a senior Psychology and English major. She is also the Public Relations chair for the Pinehurst Organization. Annie is proficient in MLA and APA style writing. She is from Parkland, Florida and is fluent in Spanish and English.

Dar Bejerano (she/her)
Dar is from Boston, and she is currently studying International Business and Psychology. Her areas of expertise are statistics and Hebrew (her family is from Israel and she is a native speaker). She is on the waterski team here at Rollins, and she loves to spend her time by the lake.

Angel Colon (he/him) 
Angel is a Social Entrepreneurship major and International Business minor. He is a born-and-raised Floridian and both of his parents are from Puerto Rico. Angel has advanced experience in writing, business, and teaching.

Rory MacLeod (he/him) 
Rory is from the Isle of Man, United Kingdom. He is a business management major and biology minor. Rory is a rugby player and fitness enthusiast.

Riley Steege (she/her)
Riley is a Theatre Arts and Elementary Education major from London, England. She is very active in the theatre department on campus and is part of Rollins Players. She has worked in grade 1 and kindergarten classrooms as well as helped to direct young actors. Also, she loves to cook, bake, hang out with her friends and go to Disney!
