Our "Tutors by Subject" index will be updated for Fall 2022.

Summer 2022 Tutors:

Kyra Bauske (she/her)
Kyra is a Graduate Tutor who specializes in Undergraduate and Graduate writing including: thesis projects, grammar, formatting styles (APA, MLA, and Chicago), as well as creative writing, Latin, and essay crafting and organization. She is a professional editor, a 2018 graduate of the Rollins English department, and she is currently studying to receive her Masters from Rollins in the MLS program. Kyra has a passion for music and dance, and holds a position as a Barre fitness instructor at the Alfond Sports Center!

Anthony Bonilha (he/they)
Anthony was born and raised in Orlando, and  is a sophomore planning on a Mathematics and Physics double major. What he finds most intriguing about both of his majors are the philosophical thoughts that motivate both (he would do a philosophy minor if he didn't already have his hands full). He loves talking about how indefinite these studies can be and teaching how the same problem or concept can be solved or understood in many different ways.

Jay Forsythe (he/him)
Jay is a piano performance major with an interest in composition, conducting, and early music. He has been a tutor with the TWC since Fall 2020, where he focuses on music theory and keyboard harmony classes. In the summer of 2021 Jay was an intern at Colonial Williamsburg, and he had to improvise realizations or figured bass lines at the harpsichord— so feel free to bring him any of your part-writing or figured bass homework! In addition to his focus in classical piano, Jay also plays cello in the Rollins Orchestra and keyboard in the Rollins Jazz Ensemble.

Helene Gilis (she/her)
Helene Gilis is a second-year international student from Belgium who speaks Dutch, French, English, and Latin. She is currently pursuing an International Business major and Economics minor. In her free time she likes to explore new spots around Orlando, hang out with her friends, and visit amusement parks.

Emelia Lonsdale (she/her)
Emilia is an Art History major, pursuing a minor in Archaeology. She has been doing work-study for the Art and Art History Department for almost two years. Outside of school and work, she has several hobbies. She enjoys reading, drawing, spending time with her birds, and playing video games. She is also a collector of ancient Greek and Roman coins! This interest has impacted her studies in Art History and Archaeology; she is currently writing her honors thesis on Roman coins.

Emmy Shouse (she/her)
Emmy is a sophomore English and Art History double major from Plant City, FL. In addition to her passion for furthering her knowledge in these fields, she enjoys reading, writing, and studying art on her own time. Fun fact: she is also a twin!

Riley Steege (she/her)
Riley is a Theatre Arts and Elementary Education major from London, England. She is very active in the theatre department on campus and is part of Rollins Players. She has worked in grade 1 and kindergarten classrooms as well as helped to direct young actors. Also, she loves to cook, bake, hang out with her friends and go to Disney!
