Application Deadlines

Applications for the Master of Human Resources (MHR) program are accepted on an annual basis. The application deadlines for the cohort are as follows:

  • Early Decision: March 1
  • Regular Decision Priority Date: June 1 (Applications will continued to be reviewed on a space available basis).

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university by the time they enroll. Students accepted into the program have a wide range of academic backgrounds, including the social sciences, business, the humanities, and other areas. The admission committee does not require a major in a particular area.  

Application Instructions

Applicants must submit all of the items listed below. Applications will be considered upon receipt of all materials. 

  • APPLICATION: A completed Application for Graduate Admission with a $50 non-refundable application fee. Credit card, check or money order made payable to Rollins College.
  • TRANSCRIPTS: Official transcripts from the bachelors or master’s degree granting college or university institution. An undergraduate GPA of 3.0+ is recommended. Official electronic transcripts may be sent to
  • TEST SCORES: We do not require standardized graduate entrance exams.
  • RECOMMENDATION LETTERS: Two (2) letters of recommendation are required to be submitted via the online application process. Please identify professional and/or academic supporters who know you and can appraise your ability to pursue a graduate degree in this area. One letter should come from a previous or current employer. Recommendation letters are confidential and will be received electronically via the online application.
  • RESUME: A current resume reflecting current position and/or volunteer experience submitted through the online application.
  • ESSAY: A Statement of Purpose essay of one to two (2-3) pages clarifying your expectations for your MHR graduate studies and why you believe this program is the right fit for you. This essay should be typed and double-spaced submitted via a Word or PDF document through the online application. 


  • We require all applicants whose first language is not English to adequately demonstrate English competency as part of the application process.  Students may demonstrate competency by submitting scores from TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or DET (Duolingo English Test).  A score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), 80 (IBT) on the (TOEFL), an overall band score of a 6.5 or higher on the (IELTS) to indicate adequate proficiency or 110 or higher on the DET.
  • Students who are not American citizens must demonstrate appropriate permanent resident or visa status.  Only full-time student status qualifies students for an F1 Visa.
  • Any student that submits a foreign college/university transcript is responsible for having these transcripts sent through an evaluation service for translation.  Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. and WES may be used for evaluation services.
