| Over the years we have received many brochures from the University of Florida Alumni Association regarding trips offered by Alumni Holidays International. Earlier this year we received a brochure announcing Alumni College in Tuscany, an opportunity to travel and study. This particular brochure didn’t end up in the trash like all the others because the program sounded wonderful, and we finally had the time to travel. We can’t say enough good things about our experience including the transportation, accommodations, food, excursions, and our traveling companions. It truly was a great adventure for us! | We arrived in Rome in the morning after flying for about nine and a half hours. Our flight left on time and arrived early! We left immediately by bus for a three and a half hour ride to the Etruscan city of Cortona, our home for the next week. We were exhausted but stayed awake to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Umbrian and Tuscan regions on our way to Cortona. We saw hillside towns surrounded by medieval walls, castles, rolling hills with vineyards and olive groves, and spectacular fields of sunflowers. |
