Assisi |
Assisi is the home of Saints Francis and Saint Clare. Our first view of the city of Assisi was an unforgettable sight because of the majestic Basilica of St. Francis. The interior with its frescoes is equally as memorable. We don't have pictures of the inside of any of the churches we visited because the rules against photography are strictly enforced. Prior to going to the Romanesque Cathedrale di San Rufino and the Basilica, we strolled through narrow sun-washed alleys decorated with window boxes and pots of flowers. |
